Elizabeth
On Saturday 5th September at Gresford Methodist Church, Pearl Evans and Elizabeth Roberts treated us all to a delight of music ad dance by the young people of the church, all in aid of Cancer and Leukaemia research.
The Audience
The audience were silent as they hung onto every note or step of the performer, and what performances they were- to name just one would be an injustice.
It was all held together in a casual but professional manner by Alex as the MC.
The star of the show had to be Pearl herself, who had worked with all the performers to produce such a show of talent, but also stole the show as she stood to sing Amazing Grace in duet with Elizabeth.
The total raised on the day was £1100, a great achievement as I am sure you will agree.
The young performers
Unfortunately, for various reasons, Pearl and Elizabeth say this was the last concert they will give together in this way. I do hope it is not the last we see of the talent our young (and not so young) people at Gresford Methodist Church have.
